Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Oklahoma City Residents Directory. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Nature of This Reference

Oklahoma City Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It links to access routes but does not host government records and is not affiliated with any public office, court, library, archive, or custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use this service and anything found through it only for lawful purposes. You may not use it to:

  • Stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or harm another person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit fraud or identity theft.
  • Make a decision covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish content at scale.
  • Disrupt the service, its systems, or its security.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency as defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on this service, including a linked tool result, is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Third-Party Links

Government portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored tools have separate terms and privacy practices. We do not control or guarantee their content, availability, cost, data handling, or search results.

5. No Warranties

The service is provided as is and as available. We make no warranty that content, a linked portal, a coverage date, or a result is accurate, complete, current, or available at a particular time.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from use of the service or any linked record resource, including choices made from material found through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the service operators from claims, losses, demands, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed quotations are welcome, but full-page republication and systematic copying are not permitted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version here. Continued use after that publication means you accept the revised terms.

10. Restricting Access

We may suspend, block, or limit access without notice when a user violates these terms, abuses the service, or creates a security risk.

11. Oklahoma Law

Oklahoma law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Access to public records held by Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, or state custodians is also subject to the Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1–24A.33, along with record-specific exemptions and confidentiality statutes. The Act does not guarantee access to confidential material or require an agency to create a custom report. Oklahoma SB546, signed in March 2026, takes effect January 1, 2027 and creates covered-business data rights subject to its thresholds and exemptions; it does not erase public records held by those custodians.

12. Severability

If a term in this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
